PURCHASING FIREARMS ONLINE
At Northwest Arsenal, we strictly adhere to all applicable laws for selling firearms online. All firearms must be shipped to a person/business holding an active Federal Firearms License (FFL). Make sure you either have an FFL license or know a business near you that does before completing your purchase. We have the right to verify the FFL license being used before shipping any purchase.
How to Purchase A Firearm Online
1) Select Your Gun
Choose a gun with all the features you want (e.g. caliber, finish, barrel length, etc.). Make sure the gun is legal in your state or locality. For example, some states have laws about magazine capacity or modifications to a firearm. We may be able to help you with modifications so please call if you have any questions.
2) Select Your Receiving Dealer
You cannot have a firearm shipped to your home–it can only be shipped to another dealer with a Federal Firearms License (FFL). The receiving dealer will then need to fill out the appropriate paperwork before transferring the firearm to you, which will most likely come with a fee. We recommend contacting your receiving dealer beforehand to discuss any details or fees that may apply. If you are local to us you may come to our Eugene, Oregon location to fill out your paperwork and receive your order.
3) Place Your Online Order
During check-out, the name and address of your receiving dealer is entered in the shipping fields (enter your name and address in the billing fields). If you have not yet selected a receiving dealer at the time you place your order contact us as soon as possible with your dealer’s shipping information. If you select a dealer that is not already in our dealer network, you must contact them to fax or email a copy of their FFL license to us. Any delay in your selecting and contacting your receiving dealer may result in delays in processing and shipping your order.
Note: All returns are subject to a restocking fee. Be sure to inspect the firearm at your dealer before it is transferred to you. Any damage caused by shipping needs to be reported to us as soon as possible.
AMMUNITION PURCHASES
By law, you must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition purchased from Northwest Arsenal online will be shipped via ground transport with an adult signature required. Please check your local laws for any other regulations.
REFUNDS
Customer service is a priority at Northwest Arsenal. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will do our best to correct the situation to your satisfaction. Please contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request within 10 business days of the receipt of the product.
Please note that we DO NOT permit the return of the following products:
- Special orders and products that are custom configured to your specifications.
- Products sold “as is” or “used” or that have been installed or used after receipt.
- Firearms once transferred to the buyer.
- Illumination devices, electronic sights, optics, and night vision equipment.
No returns will be accepted without prior approval from NWArsenal.com. Please contact us via email or phone in order to receive an RMA number (return merchandise authorization). No returns will be accepted without an RMA number. We will send you an RMA form that will have detailed information on how and where to ship your item(s).
- All returns must be made within 30 days of product delivery.
- All returns must be new and in the original packaging.
- All accessories, documentation, and registration cards must be included with the return.
- Shipping charges for product returns are non-refundable.
When your firearm arrives, please take the time to fully inspect each component for defects or flaws, and that it is indeed the firearm you ordered. Also, ensure there is no damage to your order from shipping. If you find any defects or if you receive the incorrect weapon, DO NOT ACCEPT THE TRANSFER. Once the firearm transfer is accepted, the gun is considered used and can only be returned to the manufacturer. No gun can be returned to Northwest Arsenal after the transfer is complete.
If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will exchange it, offer you store credit, or offer you a refund, less 20% restocking fee, based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned within 10 business days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product. A 15% open box fee in addition to the 20% restocking fee (totaling 40%) will be assessed on any sealed product that is opened or removed from its original packaging.
NOTE: We recommend that you use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns, and either insure your package for safe return or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you chose not to use a carrier that offers package tracking and insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways on returns, as well as for shipping charges on shipments that are refused.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
All orders are shipped promptly from our warehouse or in-store inventory within 3-5 business days using USPS or FedEx. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via USPS and FedEx.
Flat-rate shipping costs are based on the order total. Refer to the chart above for the current rates. Additional shipping charges may apply to any shipments outside the contiguous 48 states, please call for a detailed shipping quote. Northwest Arsenal only ships orders Monday-Friday.
Northwest Arsenal usually ships orders for in-stock items within 3-5 business days. A shipping provider will be selected based upon the size, contents, and value of the product being shipped at the discretion of Northwest Arsenal. All shipments to Alaska and Hawaii will be shipped via US Postal Priority Mail unless they include firearms.
While we try our best to get out every order as quickly as possible, Northwest Arsenal cannot guarantee same-day shipping. We ship orders Monday through Friday and do not offer UPS Saturday delivery. Any order placed on a Friday may not ship until the following Monday. UPS 2nd Day Air shipments are delivered the 2nd business day after being picked up by UPS – this means an order picked up by UPS on a Friday will not be delivered until the following Tuesday. Please keep this in mind when placing your order.
All shipments include a tracking number – a tracking number will be emailed to you when the order is shipped. Depending on the value of the product being shipped, a signature may be required to receive the product.
Note: Not all methods are available to all addresses within the specified areas. We will contact you before shipment if the shipment method you have chosen is not available to your address.
ONLINE PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS
While we work hard to accurately represent our available products, occasionally errors occur when updating our online firearm store. We cannot guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures, or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel your order, we will not charge your credit card or we will refund your money.
