Step-By-Step Breakdown

Follow these 3 simple steps to ensure maximum adhesion and performance.

Clean & Degrease

Thoroughly clean the factory deflector bump on your upper receiver using the included alcohol prep wipe. It is crucial to ensure absolutely no gun oil, carbon, or residue remains on the surface.

Apply Promoter

Once dry, take the included 3M Adhesion Promoter sponge and wipe it generously over the cleaned area. This chemical layer guarantees a permanent bond with the VHB tape. Allow it to flash dry for 30 seconds.

Peel, Align & Press

Remove the red backing from the deflector. Align the contour closely with the factory bump. Once aligned, press firmly inward for 60 seconds to set the 3M tape.

Pro Tip: Let It Cure

For maximum bond strength, we highly recommend allowing the adhesive to cure at room temperature for 24 hours before taking your rifle to the range.
